Sweet & Sour Pork with white rice is my kids all time favourite. Whenever we dine out, ordering a plate of sweet & sour pork will not go wrong. The kids indeed can eat more rice than you expected. But ever since that incident, its a long story actually. There was once we ordered a plate of sweet & sour pork, and my little girl, after having that plate, the next day she got rashes all over her body. Her skin itch so badly and we brought her to the pediatrician and the DR suspected its the coloring from the tomato sauce. As you know, some restaurant uses a cheaper and no brand tomato sauce. Ever since then, we did not order any dishes from the restaurant that uses tomato sauce.
When cook the dish at home, I only uses HEINZ tomato sauce. As for the meat marinating part, I added some F&N Evaporated milk in it because the milk also act as a meat tenderizer. Give it a try and you will be surprised with the outcome of the evaporated milk.
