I am a person who raised up in a big family. When come to Chinese New Year reunion dinner, my Dad and uncles will cook up a storm for the whole family. Seriously and I am not joking. We will have so many foods till the whole table is full with foods. Unlike Dearie Suki’s family, it is the opposite way. Though it is a waste for cooking so many foods and ended up you will not finish it in a day, but I just love the feel of the reunion dinner with so much foods.
Every year Dad will cook extra and let me take back to my in laws place. Since this year it is fall on a Sunday hence I have more time to cook during Saturday and Sunday. Well, my planning of what to cook on that day would be:
1. Will prepare a big plate of Yee Sang for Lou Hei, its my kids favourite
2. Braised Dried Oyster with Black Moss, my favourite
3. Braised Chinese Mushroom with Chicken Feet
4. Stir-fried Egg Omelette with Sharksfin, wrapped with lettuce…super yummy
5. HP Fruity Prawns
I wonder will it be too much for a small family. I think for this coming Chinese New Year I will need some diet pill on standy. Oh gosh, I am getting fat again.
